An exploration of the spiritual journey as a path of love, where the heart’s discontent becomes the doorway to ultimate fulfillment.

We live in a world of mystery, wonder, and beauty. But most of us seldom participate in this real world.
The human essence is the part of us that is innate and real, and which can participate in the real world.

Martin will offer a Sundays gathering, a book reading group.
We will read “Diamond Heart, Book One”. It is an experiment, since this book does not contain any practices. And since he does not want to have anybody to prepare for the gatherings, or anybody to summarize the chapters, we do it as a common reading + open inquiry
Starting Sunday, 14th of June, we gather to read short passages from the book, and use the text as a starting point for open inquiry.
The intention is not to fully understand or analyze the book, and no preparation is needed. Instead, we allow a small excerpt to resonate and explore together what it evokes in our immediate experience.
The group is intended for people already familiar with inquiry practice.
Format
- meditation (5 min.)
- short announcements (max. 2 min.)
- Brief check-in in triads (4 min., +1 min. transition)
- shared reading. (5 min. to max. 7 min.) Every time somebody of the group reads a passage. After 5 minutes, the reader should finish the sentence or paragraph (it is the readers decision).
- inquiry in triads (3 x 15 min., + 2 min. transition)
- closing sharing in the larger group
The triads offer space for direct experience, resonance, not-knowing, and present-moment exploration.
You are welcome to join at any time. It is not necessary to have attended previous meetings or to have read the book beforehand.
Schedule
- Starting 14th of June, we meet every Sunday at 8:30 AM CET
- The meeting closes 9:45 AM CET
Someone should remember where we stopped reading the last time 😉
Nature of the Group
This is not a book club or a study group. The text serves as a shared invitation into presence, perception, and open inquiry.
The emphasis is on slowness, authenticity, and immediate experience.
FAQ
Are 5 minutes of reading enough?
The text in Essence is often very dense and evocative. Even a short passage can open a rich field for inquiry and direct experience.
The intention is not to cover a large amount of material, but to allow a small excerpt to unfold more deeply through presence and exploration.
What if I miss a session and lose the thread?
The group is not structured as a linear study course where each meeting builds heavily on the previous one.
Each session stands on its own. While the book naturally unfolds over time, the emphasis is on immediate experience rather than on following the completeconceptual development of the text.
You can join again at any time without needing to “catch up.”
Will there be context or explanations of the text?
No.
The group is intentionally not centered around teaching, interpretation, or intellectual analysis. The text itself serves as the shared starting point, and inquiry becomes the way of engaging with it.
Rather than trying to fully understand the material conceptually, we explore how it lands in our present experience.
What about continuity?
Continuity is held less through conceptual progression and more through the ongoing shared practice of inquiry.
Over time, a sense of collective atmosphere and exploration naturally develops, even if participants attend irregularly.
The format is designed to remain open, lightweight, and accessible rather than dependent on a fixed group or continuous attendance.
Can I read even if my English is not very good?
Yes — absolutely.
Everyone is welcome to read from the book, regardless of their level of English. The emphasis of the group is not on perfect pronunciation or fluent reading, but on shared presence and exploration.
In many ways, reading slowly or imperfectly can even support a more grounded and attentive atmosphere.
There is no pressure to perform or “read well.”
Your personal data will be treated with the utmost discretion and never be shared with anyone.
